The backdrop of dreams
to create that dream ambience.
With media that bombards us on a daily basis with images of celebrity, alongside instagram, snapchat to mention but a few of the current imagery sites, has come the search for that photograph that has that certain 'je ne sais quoi'. Designers and photographers alike spend hours planning concepts to showcase their products or improve the profile of their Client in the celebrity world and Jo Public to find the selfie that they want to put out there to represent themselves. With floral themes becoming very much an image of the current climate of perfection, you may think that flower walls are a concept of the noughties and beyond. But actually, this 1955 image of Audrey Hepburn, proves that this concept is over half a decade old. Dior's campaign featuring Natalie Portman shows that this time honoured classic backdrop has stood the test of time. Iconic images that no doubt someone will recreate in fifty years time again.
As an event planning company, we of course wanted to afford this tried and tested beauty to our Clients too, without the celebrity price tag of course. We waited months for baseline panels, both hydrangea filled and simple frames, to come in to stock to our wholesalers. The versatility of them is, quite frankly, amazing. Set on a flexible, interlocking frame, the panels are able to be moulded and easily cut, meaning that they are a fabulous solution for our fledgling floral fingers. In addition to this, there are a thousand other ways to bring floral decor to your event, inspired by the latest images from celebsville.
So many choices in fact that we set about thinking of ways of bringing the celebrity must have to our events. Whether they are bespoke or delivered ready made, here are the reasons that we at Festival HQ absolutely love beautiful blooms.
Plain base line panels give the opportunity to create beautiful fresh flower panels, lined with oasis to keep them fresh, that offer a gentle fragrance to your event.

In the celebrity world, flower walls have become the must have backdrop both in businesses and in events alike. The new Fifty Shades film, due to debut shortly, features the wealthy Christian marrying Anastasia, all set in front of a floral backdrop. Both in the USA and the UK, blooms are widely featured in the events thrown by the rich and famous. So if the celebrity world has it we generally, want it for our own.
We all know that the scent that fresh flowers give off is a gorgeous addition to any space big or small. However, what about those hay fever sufferers? The only tears shed at a wedding should be in the emotion of the day, so we set about creating an alternative for our Festival Clients. This perfect selfie station, made up of over forty thousand petals, provides that eye catching backdrop at a fraction of the celebrity price tag, without compromising on beauty or quality.

.....the light that the wall reflects. The perfect instagram backdrop, this give you the look of a professional, quality photographs from the comfort of your own smartphone
We then set about thinking how we could bring more of this beautiful value for money, along with the sought after perfect photo op, to our Clients in our installations. And so the Festival HQ flower bars were born, with the beauty being that these bespoke products can be customised to any size, shape or colour scheme as a statement piece for your event.
Festival HQ loves....
....an eye catching floral display that offers your guests a welcoming drink or a small hint of the rest of your theme.
Venues have a wealth of platforms to drape and dress with flowers. Staircase swagging, top table flowers, bannisters, lining the sides of rooms, lit or unlit, the list is endless.
Festival HQ loves...
...low level table floral decorations, designed with conversation in mind.
Trees and floral tunnels have also become an integral part of internal and external decor, with blossoms being our favourite at the moment. But the venue can also play a starring role in achieving your look. So whether it is artificial or pre-installed, nurtured flowers, it truly is a beautiful part of creating that visual delight when planning an event.
Outside of the normal wedding floristry there is an opportunity to have petals underfoot.
Festival HQ loves...
...lining aisles with a gentle scattering of petals to spread the beauty throughout the whole venue.
So, be it...
...pinks, or neutrals, reds or purples, it is easy to see how floral beauty fits in to your must-have list for any event.
